Today I asked Mabel if I should call Mario's Sister to ask her to the Summer Dance. She said I should go for it, because I never know what I may be missing. I really wanted to go with Anita, but she is going with Mario, so I might as well go with Mario's sister.
Mario says that he's gonna set me up with Anita, but Mabel thinks he will not do it. I think he will, though, because he's my best friend. Heck, I know I'd do it for him.
Mabel keeps saying that I should just go with Mario's sister and have fun, but I don't know her and I'm awful around girls.
Anyway, I called her and she sounds so sweet and gentle. Her voice is really nice. I'm sure she's nothing like Mario. Mario is a good guy, you know, but kinda rude. His sister sounds like a cool girl. I'm sure she is hot too. She gotta be hot.
If Mario chickens out on me and doesn't help me out with Anita, I think I might have fun with his sister, like Mabel says.
Another thing I'm wondering is what Big Chris thinks about his girl going out with one of us. I didn't think about it before, but if he gets mad, it can be pretty scary.

Hello World!
Hello people, my name's Erik and I am a comic strip character. This is my attempt at making an online journal.
My name is Erik Campos and I was born in Midtoon 16 years ago. My Father is John Campos and my mother is Carmen Santiago. They are both Puertorrican, but they moved to Midtoon before I was born. My mother and my father got divorced when my brother was a baby, and my mother left us and went back to Puerto Rico. Five years ago, when Javier was two, dad married Mabel Snyders, and a year later they bought the house we live in now. Perhaps I will write more about them later.
Let me tell you a little about what's going on in my life right now. If you prefer to see it for yourself, the current chapter begins at http://www.midtoon.com/011001.htm. To see my strip form the beginning go to http://www.midtoon.com/010101.htm, but I must warn you that other people also feature prominently in the story, so it is not just me.
There is this big dance coming soon and I wanted to ask this girl, her name is Anita Gaitan and she is a cheerleader. Well, I heard that she was dumping her boyfriend and I really wanted to ask her to the big dance (the Summer Dance) but I didn't dare, so I asked my friend Mario to ask her for me. The problem is that Mario went and invited her himself!
I was so mad at him that I didn't know what I was going to do, but this morning at school, he told me that he isn't really into her and that if I take his sister to the dance, he will set me up with Anita.
I don't really know Mario's sister. I know she is a senior but she always leaves school early for work somewhere in Centerville and never hangs out around school.
I really don't know if I should trust Mario, especially after what he did to me. I guess I will ask Mabel (my stepmom) and see what she thinks.
